I attended the Lewisville Martial Arts Academy from the summer of 1993 until it's closing in January 2003. I am currently a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I used to cross train in Jujitsu, occasionally, as well as weapons training in nunchuku, cane and bo (staff).
I joined TWCD in January 2003. We are celebrating our 16th season in 2004-2005.. In June 2003, we were honored to sing at the Dallas Mayor's Inauguration. In July 2004, we sang in Montreal at the GALA festivial. It is a wonderful group of volunteer ladies who are very nice and welcoming. There is a wide range of talent in this group. I was certified a Master Gardener, through the Denton County Extension Agent, in 1998 but left the group to follow other pursuits. They provide voluntary community gardening services for Denton County.
I was certified a Master Naturalist, through the Denton County Extension Agent, in the fall of 2000 but have since let it expire. It is, also, a wonderful volunteer service organization.
